Under Article 11 of the PDPL, data owners have the following rights:

  • Learn whether personal data is being processed,
  • Request information regarding personal data if it has been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are being used in accordance with that purpose,
  • Know the third parties to whom personal data has been transferred, both domestically and internationally,
  • Request the correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrect and request that the action taken in this regard be communicated to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
  • Request the deletion or destruction of personal data if the reasons for processing no longer exist, even though the data has been processed in accordance with the PDPL and other relevant laws, and request that the action taken in this regard be communicated to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
  • Object to the result arising against the person as a result of solely automatic processing of the data,
  • In case of harm due to the unlawful processing of personal data, request the compensation of the damage.
     
    You can submit your requests related to the rights listed above by filling out the application form. Your request will be processed and a response will be provided within 30 days. Generally, requests are processed free of charge, but if fulfilling the request requires additional costs, the Data Controller Application Procedures and Principles Regulation Article 7 stipulates that "If a written response is provided to the data subject's request, no charge will be made for up to 10 pages. For each page over 10 pages, a processing fee of 1 TRY may be charged. If the response is provided on a storage medium such as a CD or USB flash drive, the fee requested by the data controller cannot exceed the cost of the storage medium." Therefore, the Company may request a fee.
